First, I apologize to anyone if my posts are annoying, but I can't withhold and not share something as important as Shakeology. My main goal in sharing my success with Beachbody products and my goals is to hopefully inspire someone else and in turn help them achieve their own goals. Being a Team Beachbody coach is more than just a new business venture, for me it's mostly about sharing successful, proven tools to help other people reach their own health and fitness goals or even just to provide some support, motivation or helpful tips. I know that I have been posting quite a bit about Shakeology, but words cannot explain how beneficial to your health and your family's health this shake could be, whether you are already active and healthy, need a boost in your journey or are looking to lose weight and get healthy. I completely understand how it is easy to dismiss this as we have been overloaded with so many lose weight, get healthy quick schemes in the forms of shakes and pills, but this one truly does not compare. There are 9 (YES I SAID 9!) servings of fruits and vegetables in one shake! When was the last time you were able to get that many EVERYDAY? I know it was extremely hard and very rare for me. It would cost over $500 in OTC supplements to put together just one of these shakes and good luck finding all 70+ ingredients. In the Beachbody corporation, everyone drinks it from the CEO all the way down to a local coach like me. Even the celebrity trainers, like Tony Horton and Chalene Johnson drink them and they don't get paid to promote or drink them, they just know how good this stuff is and how good it is for you. I read on Chalene's website (turbokick.com) the other day how she freaked out when she was headed on vacation and only had enough left for a few days and had to have some shipped immediately because she could not do without it.
Obesity is a national epidemic that is affecting not only adults but our children in epic proportions. The trend has dramatically worsened, mostly in the southern states, but all states have worsened over the last 20 years. 67% of americans are overweight or are considered obese and America has easily become the fattest country in the world. Just one of these shakes a day can help change that and help to reverse that trend. Wow! Time is flying!! 14 Days Done Already! Day 8-14 Update...
Ok, I have been very busy lately, mainly due to my working out (YAY!), motherhood, working a job and my beachbody business. Apologies to anyone following my blog, but I am sure that most of you can relate to that.:) With that said, I am still drinking Shakeology every morning for breakfast and still going strong with my P90X/Insanity Hybrid workout program. I have lost another 3 pounds in the last 7 days and I am feeling stronger, leaner, tighter and more energetic everyday. I can definitely tell by the way my clothes fit, meaning LOOSER!!!! I have definitely lost some inches and I may have to go buy new clothes soon! I am just so happy that I have finally committed to myself and making myself healthier. I don't compromise my workout time each day for anything, I just keep pressing play, and pressing BLEND!!! LOL!!! I am so glad that Beachbody has somehow found its way into my life and I look forward to life getting exponentially better through Beachbody tools and the BUSINESS!
Eat Clean challenge Update
Well, let's just say I have not stuck with every aspect of it, but a lot of it I have. No dairy other than milk, no caffeine or alcohol, no refined white flour or sugar and very little gluten (unknowingly from the Ckif bars that i ate.). I was unprepared last week, so I ended up getting my protein from chicken a couple of times and never realized I was eating dairy everyday by adding milk to my Shakeology for breakfast every morning. Oops! LOL! I have been so focused on my workouts that I wasn't paying CLOSE attention. Things happen and so we learn and move on. So, I am restarting tomorrow as I added milk to my shakeolgy this morning.:( What I plan to do to replace the milk is make my own almond milk, a great and healthy alternative. Despite those things, my diet has still been pretty awesome, fruit, almonds, lots of veggies, lean proteins and one cheat meal, which by the way I don't plan to do again as I felt sick like two hours later. If I do decide to continue to have cheat meals, I will definitely be choosing wiser! Regardless, I am feeling so good! It's amazing to me how great I feel. There is something different about my weight loss journey this time around. It feels like I am going to go beyond achieving my goals in record time! It's something I can't pinpoint, but I am having a real breakthrough for the first time in my life regarding my weight loss! I have mental clarity and I feel true joy and happiness every morning when I wake up! I truly look forward to my day and my workouts.

Day 7 of P90x/Insanity Hybrid Workout Program
Day 7 I took as another rest day, which would make 5 out of 7 days that I worked out. I am pretty excited and proud of myself since I also did the Shakeology cleanse during this week. I lost 8 pounds, so I am so motivated and I want to keep going. This day actually turned out to be quite busy for me and so much so that I missed a few calories and water intake. My goal for this first day off of the cleanse was to still eat healthy so as not to upset my system since it has been primed for optimal intake. I had egg whites with a slice of mild cheddar cheese, 2 patties of turkey sausage and one banana for breakfast. For lunch I had a wheat berry ham sandwich with spinach, mustard, cheddar cheese and another banana. I was completely exhausted by the time I got home and too tired to fix dinner so I tried the Sunrise recipe with the Greenberry shakeology and it was actually pretty good! My favorite is still the chocolate, but it is definitely pretty good with the tropicana 50 orange juice and some frozen peaches & strawberries. I am out of the chocolate and still awaiting the delivery of my next order.
This morning I woke up energized, but mentally wanting to stay in bed because of the rain! It's so soothing and relaxing.:) Anyhoo, it is early afternoon and I am feeling so great! Looking forward to Chest and Back and Ab Ripper X tonight!

Up Next...The Tony Horton Eat Clean Challenge!
After losing 5 pounds in 3 days from the Shakeology Cleanse and another 3 just from eating healthy and working out, I was looking for my next challenge and came across a post from a fellow beachbody coach about this challenge. I have missed the official start date to officially enter, but I wanted to do this anyway just to keep my weight loss going and keep myself motivated! I will be posting my daily progress here on my blog and on Facebook. Feel free to join me and share any good recipes or tips. I will definitely be sharing some of my favorites!
Tony Horton (creator of P90X) Eat Clean Throw Down
Here are the rules for the upcoming challenge:
It is a 4-Week Challenge that will focus primarily on EATING CLEAN TONY'S WAY! That means you must stick to the guidelines:
a. NO Alcohol or Caffeine
b. NO Dairy products
c. NO Refined sugars or flours
d. NO Gluten products (wheat products; whole grain wheat or otherwise).
e. NO Meat or animal products (this also includes eggs & fish)
Exception: You may use the P90X Recovery Formula to help recover after your workouts. This formula is specially designed to help you with muscle recovery/repair after intense workouts. It must be used within 1 hour of your workout!
You can also have Shakeology as a meal replacement. This stuff is just to good to keep out! But remember you can't mix it with dairy products! However almond, soy, rice & hemp milk is a great alternative. Only 1 Shakeology shake per day...I still want you to get creative with the veggies!
1) Each participant should post their beginning stats prior to the challenge. If you want to share your stats here, that's great, if not, make sure you keep them for your reference! Stats include current weight and current measurements according to: shoulders, chest, biceps, waist, hips, thighs and calves. You may track any other measurements - these are just the core ones.
2) Each participant must post accountability daily in order to stay in the challenge. Your accountability must include what you have eaten that day and your workout done. I will allow you a 2 day grace period. That means if you are gone on the weekend you have until Monday night to post Saturday's accountability and Tuesday night to post Sunday's accountability. It is ALL ABOUT BEING ACCOUNTABLE!
3) You must identify what fitness regimen you are pursuing prior to the challenge. For example if you are doing P90X you should follow your program schedule. So you should be accountable for 6 days of workouts. If you are doing ChaLean Extreme, you would be accountable for 5 workout days. You must clearly identify your REST Days. If you will be doing a hybrid program (combination of two or more programs), you must post your preplanned workout schedule for the 4 week period prior to the challenge and you should allow for no more than 2 rest days a week. If you are planning a fitness regimen other than Team Beachbody products, you must workout a minimum of 45 minutes per day at least 5 days per week and should post your 4 week preplanned workout schedule prior to the challenge.
4) During the four week challenge you will be allowed (4) Oops! Notice I said (4)! This challenge is only four weeks. Your Oops! can be used for a workout or a meal - you decide how to use them. The Oops can only be used for the replacement of (1) meal or (1) workout. It is possible to use all (4) in one day if you want to - you decide how to use them, but remember you will only have (4). If you want MAXIMUM results, you need to dig deep and commit!! I suggest only using an Oops! for each of these when it is truly merited. Let's face it, things come up unexpectedly (friends show up and everyone wants to go out to eat, family functions and maybe you overslept and couldn't get the workout in). This just gives you an opportunity to still be in the Challenge if the unexpected happens. If you can make it without any Oops!, well then BONUS for YOU!!!
5) Monday nights are RESULT Nights! Every Monday we will post updated stats...I know, but we need to stay on task and one of the best ways to do it is stay ACCOUNTABLE. So every Monday you will need to Weigh in, Measure Up and Report those stats...WE ARE DEFINITELY GOING TO ROCK THIS CHALLENGE!!!

Day 6 of P90X/Insanity Hybrid Workouts/Morning after cleanse complete
I got up this morning and got on the scale and....no pounds lost! I was a little sad but quickly got over it after I realized that I just completed something that I never ever thought I could do and I lost 5 pounds in TWO days doing it. I have nothing to be sad even for a second about! I feel great this morning! I feel lighter, energized and just healthier overall!! I will definitely be doing this every three months or right before I start a new workout program. I definitely agree that it should not be done in the middle of an intense workout program/regimen for someone like me who currently requires a lot of calories. I experienced very low energy levels on day 2 and I knew it was because I was not getting enough calories. With that said, I learned a lot about my body and that i am forever taking Shakeology!!
As for the workouts, strangely I had this crazy burst of energy at about 10pm last night! I felt ready for anything, so I did Pure Cardio. What a great workout I had! It was my best effort by far on any of the Insanity workouts and I was so proud of myself. I am going to do my best to complete this schedule as I want to set a great example as a new Beachbody coach. I am motivated more than ever! I will be doing Legs and Back tonight since I skipped it Friday. I plan to throw in the Ab videos from both programs this week, maybe in the mornings. I left them out in the first week just so I could get back into the workouts without overdoing it.
This week I will be doing all of the same workouts again on the same days. I am no longer sore so I am ready to really dig deep and get the most out of my workouts! I am looking for more great results by day 7!

Day 5 of P90X/Insanity Hybrid Workout & Day 2 of Shakeology Cleanse
My energy level was very low on Day 2 of this cleanse, so I decided to take a rest day and listen to my body. I will just make my normal rest day on Sunday my make-up day. The good news is that even though I skipped working out, I still lost another 2 pounds!!! I added in 100 calories of raw almonds just to try and increase my energy level, because I think my body at its current weight needed a few more calories on Day 2 just to make it through the day. It definitely helped, but I will play Day 3 by ear. I think I would have dropped even more had I been able to work out, but I am NOT complaining! In the past it has taken me sometimes two weeks just to lose 2 pounds, so I am sooooo happy and satisfied right now!
I cannot say enough good things about this cleanse! This morning (Day 3) I have a little more energy and look forward to knocking day 3 out of the park! It has really been pretty easy since the chocolate shakes taste sooooooooo good and you get to eat real food for dinner. I am down 8 pounds in 5 days!!! That speaks volumes in just 8 little words!!

Day 4 of P90X/Insanity Hybrid Program/Day 1 Experience of Shakeology Cleanse

Day 4 was GREAT! I did most of the Core Cardio and Balance workout from Insanity, but I also started the Shakeology cleanse this same day and it was tough to get through this workout because of this. I definitely recommend a lighter workout when doing the cleanse or nothing at all. I had to rest for about an hour after doing this workout before i could get up and make myself dinner. You may run out of gas quickly doing anything intense while on this cleanse, but go by how you feel. Now, with that said, I lost three pounds after only doing one day of this cleanse!!! My total weight loss since Monday is 6 POuNDS!!!! I was not hungry, I had no cravings, I feel lighter, less bloated and tighter if that makes any sense. I am so looking forward to my final results on Sunday!!
Here was my exact intake for Day 1:
-2 cups of green tea (no added sugar or honey) (on my way to work around 7:30am and at bedtime, around 9:30pm) It is surprisingly tolerable to drink unsweetened. It is not very bitter like darker teas, so I definitely recommend drinking a green tea with this cleanse.
-1 green berry shakeology with 1 cup of frozen strawberries, 8 oz of water and a little ice (around 9:30am)
-2 chocolate shakeology shakes, 1 for lunch (12:30pm) and one for a late afternoon snack (4:30pm)
-1 small banana for a mid afternoon snack(2:30pm)
-Spinach & Grilled chicken salad for dinner
3 cups of fresh spinach
4oz of chicken breast
juice of one lemon for dressing
-64 oz of water(throughout the entire day)
I hope my progress inspires someone to change their life. I am not perfect and I have struggled with my weight for the longest, but I have a feeling I have found something very significant in Shakeology that is going to change my life forever!!

I hope my progress inspires someone to change their life. I am not perfect and I have struggled with my weight for the longest, but I have a feeling I have found something very significant in Shakeology that is going to change my life forever!!

Welcome to the Phynancial Fitness Biz Blog!
My name is Faith Slack and I recently decided to take control of my life and change it for the good forever! I believe that becoming a Beachbody Coach is the first step towards that and the next step is helping you do the same! I am not a fitness professional nor have I had a formal education in fitness and health, but I am very passionate about it and I want to help others meet their goals and mine all at the same time. I too currently struggle with my weight, but I am committed to reaching my goal and I look forward to the accountability that this great opportunity provides.
